  • While music therapy is currently not billable through insurance, Wonderfully Made Music Therapy strives to keep the cost of sessions accessible for everyone. Please inquire for pricing and payment information.

    Music therapy is listed as a reimbursable service under the Family Support 360 Waiver. To learn more about this, please contact Wonderfully Made Music Therapy.

  • Previous music experience is not required to participate in music therapy sessions.

  • During music therapy sessions you may see music games, instrumental improvisation, storytelling, songwriting, movement, silliness, playfulness and many other experiences. Music used in sessions will be client preferred.

    Music therapy should not be confused with music lessons.

  • In order to practice music therapy, a Bachelor’s degree or higher must be obtained from an American Music Therapy Association approved institution. In addition to coursework, 1,200 hours of clinical training is required in order to take the board certification and earn the MT-BC (music therapist - board certified) credential.

    Music therapy is only practiced by a qualified professional with an MT-BC credential.

  • Clients will be assessed over 2-3 sessions in many different areas. Wonderfully Made Music Therapy will take the results from the assessment period and develop a treatment plan that aligns with the individual(s) being assessed.
